Darren Teoh, the chef behind Malaysia’s only two-Michelin-star restaurant, Dewakan, is at the forefront of a new culinary identity—one that embraces gastronomic provenance and culture through Malaysia’s wealth of undervalued and endemic ingredients. Drawing from his storied Chinese-Indian heritage, Darren’s cuisine is a bold exploration of flavours deeply rooted in place and time.

On March 15 and 16, Darren brings his philosophy to East47, the intimate bar-in-a-bar inside Asia’s 50 Best Bars listed Manhattan Bar, for an exclusive two-night kitchen takeover. The 12-seater avant-garde cocktail studio providing the stage for this encounter between food and drink at their most expressive.

For this special dinner, Darren will present a five-course menu paired with three curated cocktails from East47; the match playing with the intersections between food and drink with a select coterie of wild and artisanal ingredients shining through the meal.

Please note: This dinner includes beverages. Due to limited capacity, each seating will be limited to 1.5 hours.
